Refund and Cancellation Policy (International)
Issued: 14 October 2026
This policy applies to the AIITO subscriptions that KATO TECH LLC (カトーテック合同会社, "we") provides to customers located in Taiwan, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and Canada under our international Terms of Service. It forms part of those Terms.
Your statutory rights come first. Nothing in this policy limits any right or remedy you have under the mandatory consumer laws of the place where you live. Section 5 describes the main ones.
1. How payment and refunds work
- Your subscription is sold and charged by a Stripe affiliate acting as reseller and merchant of record through Link (Sold through Link, LLC (United States)). Your statement shows **`LINK.COM* AIITO`**.
- To request a refund, email us at info@aiito.co from your registered email address, stating the account and the reason. We review the request and, where a refund is due, approve it. The refund is then paid by the Reseller to the payment method you used.
- Refunds include any tax charged on the refunded amount. Refunds are made in the currency you paid in; the amount you receive may differ slightly from the amount charged because of your card issuer's exchange rates or fees, which we do not control.
- You may also contact Link support (link.com) about a charge. Link may ask us for information.
- We do not charge you any fee for a refund.
2. What happens when you cancel
| Step | When |
|---|---|
| You cancel in the customer portal, or on link.com | Any time |
| Next renewal stops | Immediately |
| You request cancellation by email | Effective when received, subject to reasonable account verification |
| Your access continues | To the end of the current paid period |
| Your account is suspended | At the end of that period |
| Your service content is deleted | 30 days after suspension |
- You may cancel at any time online through the customer portal or on the Link website. Online cancellation stops the next renewal immediately.
- You may also request cancellation by email to info@aiito.co. An email request is effective when we receive it, subject to reasonable verification that it was sent by or on behalf of the account holder. If we receive a valid request before the renewal date but a renewal charge is nevertheless taken, we will refund that renewal charge.
- There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee.
3. Until and after your access ends
- Because fees are paid in advance, the Service keeps working until the end of the period you have paid for. Email continues to be sent, received and forwarded during that time.
- We do not refund on a pro-rata basis when you cancel part-way through a month, except as set out in sections 4 and 5.
- When your access ends, your account is suspended. Email is no longer sent, received or forwarded, and your website is no longer served.
- We keep your data for 30 days. If you subscribe again within that time, your account is restored.
- After 30 days, the account, hosted email, website content and other service content are deleted and cannot be recovered. We may retain billing, transaction, security and legal records for longer where reasonably necessary or required by law. Backups also expire after approximately 30 days.
- Please export anything important before your access ends, not after.
- Your domain is yours. We do not register domains under these terms, so nothing happens to your domain registration when you cancel. Remember to change your DNS settings if you move your website or email elsewhere.
4. Refunds
- Given the nature of a digital service, we do not, as a rule, refund fees already paid, except as set out in this section and section 5.
- Where a fault attributable to us leaves the main functions of the Service continuously unusable for more than 24 hours, and you tell us, you are entitled to a refund or an extension of the fees corresponding to the period during which the Service was not usable. You may choose which. We do not require you to show loss.
This does not apply where the Service was unusable because of:
- your own configuration or content;
- a service you contract separately (such as your domain registrar), or a failure outside our systems;
- maintenance we notified in advance; or
- your non-payment.
We do not offer a service level agreement. We monitor our servers from outside our own network and keep a record of the times they did not respond. That record does not show whether your particular website or mailbox was affected, or whether the cause was one we are responsible for. The period is determined from your report and our records, and we will tell you how we calculated it.
- Where a fault attributable to us leaves the main functions unusable on three or more occasions in a month, each lasting more than four hours, or for more than 72 hours in total in a month, you may terminate the contract immediately and we refund the unused portion of any fees you have paid in advance. The exclusions in paragraph 2 apply here too.
- These remedies do not affect any other right or remedy you may have. Taking a refund or an extension under paragraph 2 does not prevent you from pursuing any other claim.
- If we end the Service ourselves — for reasons other than your breach of the Terms — or if you cancel before a change that is materially to your disadvantage takes effect (Terms sections 5, 20 and 21), we refund the unused portion of any fees you have paid in advance.
- There is no free trial, and apart from section 5.1 (Taiwan) there is no first-month refund.
5. Your statutory rights
5.1 Taiwan — 7-day right to cancel (individual customers)
If you are an individual customer in Taiwan, you may cancel your contract within 7 days after it is formed, without giving a reason and without paying any fee or charge, under Article 19 of the Consumer Protection Act (distance sales).
- To cancel, cancel in the customer portal and email info@aiito.co (or write to us) within the 7 days, stating that you are exercising your right to cancel.
- We will refund the full amount you paid for the first period, including tax, within 15 days of receiving your notice.
- Your account is then closed, and your service content is deleted under section 3.
- This right applies to your first subscription.
- The exception for online services that are "completed once provided" (Article 2(5) of the Guidelines on Reasonable Exceptions to Cancellation in Distance Sales) does not apply to a continuing hosting subscription.
5.2 Australia
If you are a consumer under the Australian Consumer Law, our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. If a failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have it rectified within a reasonable time; if this is not done, you may cancel and obtain a refund of any unused portion. You are also entitled to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. Nothing in this policy, including "we do not, as a rule, refund", limits these rights.
5.3 New Zealand
If you are a consumer, you have rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, including that services will be carried out with reasonable care and skill and within a reasonable time. Nothing in this policy limits those rights.
5.4 Singapore, the United States and Canada
Nothing in this policy limits any right or remedy you have under the consumer laws of Singapore, the state where you live in the United States, or the province or territory where you live in Canada, including any right to cancel an automatically renewing subscription online.
6. Failed payments and chargebacks
- If a payment fails, we suspend the Service after a grace period of three days. The same 30-day rule then applies: your service content is kept for 30 days from suspension, and paying within that time restores the account. After 30 days it is deleted.
- Where a chargeback is raised without good reason, we may suspend the Service or terminate the contract. This does not affect your right to dispute a charge with your card issuer.
7. Plan changes
Changing your plan takes effect immediately, whether you move up or down.
- The difference for the remainder of the current billing period is calculated pro-rata.
- Moving up: you are charged the difference for the remainder of the period, and the new monthly amount applies from the next renewal.
- Moving down: the difference for the remainder of the period is credited and applied to your next invoice. We do not refund it to your card.
- The customer portal shows the amount, including tax, before you confirm. Please check it there.
8. Added storage
Additional storage is not currently offered under the international Terms.
